A project in the works at Fox from “Heroes” creator Tim Kring could lure Kiefer Sutherland, who starred on Fox’s "24" for eight seasons, back to television, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sutherland is reportedly in preliminary talks for the drama pilot “Touch.” Sutherland would play the lead role in the project from 20th Century Fox TV and Chernin Entertainment, portraying a father who discovers that his mute, autistic son can predict events, the story says.

The project marks Kring’s first pilot script since "Heroes," which premiered on NBC in 2006. The talks with Sutherland are still in the early stages and could fall through, the story points out.
