Letterman Takes the Blame for Lohan Mixup

David Letterman apologized on his show Wednesday night to Lindsay Lohan and her family, taking the blame for a mixup in which it was announced that Lohan would present a Top 10 List on the show while Lohan herself had not agreed to it, Entertainment Weekly reported.

After poking fun at Lohan on the Grammys, Letterman said he received a call from someone who claimed to represent Lohan. “The guy says, ‘Lindsay thought that joke was hilarious. She wants to be on your show,’” Letterman said.

It has been reported that the call was placed by Lohan’s dad, Michael Lohan, apparently without Lindsay’s consent.

“We were duped, and I have no one to blame but myself,” Letterman said on the show. “I hope I didn’t embarrass you, Lindsay, and your family.”

  1. Mr. Letterman is getting old…and even more predictable and slipping like a gorilla on a slope full of banana peels. He really should fade away into the night. The only things that save him from being absolutely awful are his stable of excellent writers and some nights even they can’t help him. He carries things to terrible extremes…like: “My dog goes bark, bark, bark, bark…bark, bark, bark, bark, bark….etc I’m just plain sick of him, so I go to bed and read!
