A botched agreement for an infomercial has wound up in court, with a marketing firm filing a $25 million lawsuit against a well-known action star, TheWrap.com reports.

The action star is Jean-Claude Van Damme, who has been sued by Total Flex home gyms for allegedly bailing out on an infomercial and then dissing the company in the reality TV show "Jean-Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors."

In the suit filed Monday in L.A. Superior Court, Van Damme is accused of reneging on an endorsement deal with Thane International, the marketing company for Total Flex, and then disparaging the product in his television program. The suit accuses him of breach of contract, willful misrepresentation and negligent misrepresentation.

Thane claims losses of "at least $25.2 million." The company is suing for compensatory damages, plus interest, court costs and attorney’s fees, as well as punitive damages.

There was no comment from the actor’s representatives.
