CNN says no changes are planned for "John King, USA," which currently holds the network’s 7 p.m. time slot, reports TVNewser.com.
The statement comes after it was previously reported that CNN would replace the show with a new program starring former CNBC anchor Erin Burnett.
"We have no plans to make changes to John King, USA–the audience is up 68 percent for the month of May vs. a year ago and we look forward to its continued progress," CNN said in a statement. "We do not have a time slot selected for Erin Burnett’s program and the show will begin development in a few weeks. We look forward to having a lineup that includes both John King and Erin Burnett.”
