Regis Philbin, the outgoing host of "Live With Regis and Kelly," said he has been invited to appear on "Dancing With the Stars," reports the New York Post. But Philbin, who turns 80 in August, apparently isn’t interested.

Philbin and his co-host Kelly Ripa joked about the invite on their Thursday show, with Philbin referring to himself in the third person when he noted, "They do train all day, all week, before the show goes on–it’s too much for Regis."

Philbin has announced that he will be leaving "Live With Regis and Kelly" in November.
