Spike TV has picked up six pilots, including "The Sheriff" from producer and former NBC executive Ben Silverman, in which a law enforcement expert helps officers at new sheriff’s departments improve their skills, reports B&C.

All six pilots are for unscripted shows. Other pilots include "Pawn Games," about a game show set in a pawn shop, and "Hungry Men at Work," about chefs who prepare food for employees working in dangerous environments.

The plan is to create companion shows for Spike’s current roster of shows such as "Auction Hunters," the story says.
