Spoiler Alert: What to Expect in Today’s ‘Oprah’ Finale

Sources have been revealing what today’s emotional final episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will be like, and it’s not exactly what people have been predicting, Today reports. Stop reading now if you want to be surprised when the show airs.

The show is a contrast from the all-star celebration of the past couple of episodes. Winfrey appears alone on stage, getting real with audience members and telling them what they’ve meant to her over the 25-year run of the wildly successful syndicated talk show.

Instead of guests or giveaways, which were among the most common predictions for the show, the host shares life lessons and plays clips from past episodes of the show.

Fans described the event as emotional–all about hugs, kisses and thank-yous–with many of them having tears in their eyes as they left the taping.

Among the celebrities in the audience were Maria Shriver, Tyler Perry and Suze Orman. Also on hand were Winfrey’s longtime partner, Stedman Graham, and Winfrey’s best friend, Gayle King.

  1. Hmm. Seems like I’ve seen this before. Oh yeah. Nearly 20 years ago when Johnny Carson retired. Remember that when Oprah is lauded for such a “groundbreaking” final show.
