A new name tops the list of the biggest earners among alums of “American Idol.” With 12.3 million albums and 18.5 million digital tracks sold since she won the competition in season four, Carrie Underwood is now No. 1, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kelly Clarkson, the season one winner, had been on top with 10.6 million albums and 15.9 million digital tracks sold.
Underwood has also reportedly earned better than $66 million in concert sales, with Clarkson’s total closer to $32 million, the story says.
Chasing the two leaders is Chris Daughtry in the No. 3 spot, followed, in order, by Clay Aiken, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, David Cook and Kellie Pickler.
