One of the stars of NBC’s "Heroes" will reportedly be a regular next season on CBS’s “Hawaii Five-0,” according to EW.com’s Inside TV blog.

Masi Oka was introduced as the quirky medical examiner Dr. Max Bergman in “Five-0’s” first season, and the character will return in the second season of the program in the fall, the story notes.

"Max Bergman is a nut and I’d like to know more about who he is and what he does with his time, but that is not up to me,” Oka said, according to the piece. “But I think there is a lot left to develop with him. I think it is going to be a fun job. It was not hard for me to accept the offer. We start in July."

Oka added: "I don’t know yet if I will be needed for every episode because they are writing the next season now, but Dr. Max Bergman will be more involved."
