NBC Continues to Own Tuesday Ratings With Talent Competitions

NBC dominated the ratings Tuesday night with competitions "America’s Got Talent" and "The Voice," TVbytheNumbers.com reported.

Airing against mostly repeat programming on the other networks, NBC averaged a 4.1 rating for the night in the 18-49 demo, easily beating Fox (1.5 average), Univision (1.2), CBS (1.1) and ABC (0.9). NBC was also No. 1 in total viewers, averaging 12.1 million to 7.4 million for CBS, 3.6 million for ABC, 3.6 million for Fox and 2.9 million for Univision.

At 8 p.m. "America’s Got Talent" kicked off the night for NBC with an average of 3.35 in the 18-49 demographic, while Fox’s "MasterChef" had a mean score 1.9 in the same demo.

At 9 p.m. NBC’s other musical hit, "The Voice," collected a 4.6 average in the 18-49 demographic for the first hour. “The Voice” settled to a 4.35 mean score in the same demo for the 10 p.m. hour.
