Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Taps New Leadership for the Company’s Television Business

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has announced new leadership for the company’s television business. The company named Geoffrey Darby as general manager for TV and named Michael Morrison as executive producer of “The Martha Stewart Show.”

“Martha Stewart,” an Emmy-winning daily series that airs on Hallmark Channel, is set to premiere its seventh season Sept. 26.

Darby, who will report to MSLO President and COO Lisa Gersh, will be responsible for the company’s production and television operations. Morrison will report to Darby.

Said Gersh: "I’ve worked with Geoffrey for many years and have been consistently impressed by his creativity, his insights and his leadership skills. I am pleased that he has joined our team and I know he will make significant contributions to the development of our television footprint.”

Darby has more than 25 years of experience in the television industry, with expertise in production, programming and brand development, as well as network distribution techniques. He was previously executive VP of programming for The Weather Channel.

Morrison previously was a programming consultant and executive producer at A&E.
