Lindsay Lohan Taken Away in Handcuffs After Having Probation Revoked

Actress Lindsay Lohan heard harsh words from a Los Angeles Superior Court judge today before having her probation revoked and being led from the courtroom in handcuffs, Reuters reports.

Lohan got in trouble for failing to meet Judge Stephanie Sautner’s order to serve community service at L.A.’s Downtown Women’s Center, as previously reported.

Calling her probation a "gift," the judge accused Lohan of "looking a gift horse in the mouth" by failing to take her community service seriously and failing to meet the terms of her probation.

Judge Sautner appeared to be unimpressed by a glowing report from the Probation Department, which arranged — without court approval — for Lohan to perform her community service at the Red Cross after her relationship with the women’s center fell apart.

“Nobody has the power to change my sentence,” Judge Sautner said, before announcing: “I am revoking her probation.”

Lohan was expected to be released on bail later today. She was ordered to appear in court again Nov. 2 for a hearing on whether she in fact violated her probation. That hearing could land her back in jail to serve out her sentence.
