After causing a firestorm for considering skipping the last installment of a documentary that talks about global warming, Discovery said it will air the entire series, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Company Town blog.

The wildlife and history series, co-produced with the BBC, is currently airing on BBC in the U.K. and has become a huge hit, the story says.

The seventh episode of the show looks at global warming, which had prompted Discovery to consider skipping that installment, the story says. Activists created an online petition asking Discovery to run the series in its entirety, and the outcry surprised Discovery executives, the piece adds.

The show will debut Sunday, March 18, with subsequent episodes airing on the following Sundays, the story notes.
