An unnamed actress who is suing IMDb for listing her real age won’t be able to move forward with her case unless she reveals her name, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq. blog, citing a federal judge’s ruling.
U.S. District Court Judge Marsha Pechman ruled that the actress, who is suing for $1 million, has 14 days to refile the case under her own name or the suit will be dismissed, the story notes.
The actress has kept her identity secret because she’s concerned about blacklisting and retribution, the story says. The judge found that "the injury she fears is not severe enough to justify permitting her to proceed anonymously," according to the ruling.
As previously reported, the Screen Actors Guild and the broadcast union AFTRA have backed the lawsuit.

It’s about time IMDb is revealed as what they really are: An arm of a corrupt corporation that promotes people and films for money while deliberately suppressing and hurting people who don’t.
In this case they are sued for revealing private information just as I should be sued for revealing private information about you if I did. And I bet here are a lot of things you don’t want the public to know about you.
