Lowe’s Standing Firm on ‘Muslim’ Ads Despite Petition Drive

Lowe’s is sticking to its decision to pull ads from TLC’s reality show "All-American Muslim" after clergy in the company’s home base of Charlotte delivered a petition with 200,000 signatures, reports Deadline.com.

Executives from Lowe’s met with the clergy and talked about the decision, but stood firm on keeping its ads off the program, the story says.

Lowe’s insists the decision wasn’t influenced by a conservative group urging companies to pull their backing from the show, the article adds. As previously reported, Lowe’s pulled its ads from the show after the Florida Family Association said the show hides the dangers posed by the “Islamic agenda.”
