The legal battle between Fox Sports and the Los Angeles Dodgers over selling television rights in advance of the sale of the team has been settled, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq. blog.

As part of the settlement, Fox won’t object to another deal in bankruptcy court between Frank McCourt, the team’s owner, and Major League Baseball that the article says "will almost certainly lead to the team being sold before an April 30 deadline."

When the settlement of the lawsuits is approved, it will "will enable the [Dodgers] … to focus their complete attention on the sale process," attorneys for the team wrote in a court filing.

The team could attract bids of more more than $1 billion, the piece notes.
