The Tour de France cycling race will remain with NBC Sports Group through 2023, under an extended rights deal that gives NBC the U.S. television, digital and mobile rights to the race, reports Deadline.com.
The tour has been a headline event on Comcast’s Versus network, which was rebranded and relaunched earlier this year as NBC Sports Network, the story notes.
NBC is now preparing for this year’s broadcast, which will include 295 hours of coverage. Nineteen of the 21 stages will air live, with two of them broadcast live on NBC, the piece notes.
The coverage of this year’s race starts Saturday at 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT.
