Barbara Walters and Donald Trump are exchanging verbal salvos over Trump’s latest challenge to President Obama, reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker.

"Donald, you’re making a fool of yourself. You’re not hurting Obama, you’re hurting Donald and that hurts me because you’re a decent man. Stop it. Get off it, Donald," Walters said on Thursday’s "The View," turning to the camera to give the personal message to Trump.

Trump has offered $5 million to President Obama if he releases his academic records and passport information.

Trump didn’t welcome Walters’ message, replying on Twitter, "Barbara, unfortunately you’ve missed the entire point of my announcement — you just don’t get it," the story says. He added, "@BarbaraJWalters, @theviewtv will apologize to me just like she did when I was right about @Rosie. Besides, I get great ratings on The View."
