Public broadcasting station WGBH-TV in Boston and AARP Publications will partner to develop and produce TV specials relevant to viewers 50 and older.
The multiyear partnership, announced today, will start with the production of “Caring for Your Parents,” scheduled to air next spring.
“Caring” will combine a 90-minute documentary about care-giving to older parents with a 30-minute town hall meeting. The meeting will be in Q&A format, with panelists including Hugh Delehanty, editor-in-chief of AARP Publications.
The special, which complements the AARP book “Caring for Your Parents: The Complete AARP Guide,” by Delehanty and Elinor Ginzler, will be offered to 348 public TV stations across the country.
