NBC Sports Names Freifeld Communications Director

NBC Sports has tapped Adam Freifeld as director of communications.
He joins the NBC Sports crew after spending two years as a media publicity consultant with AMF Communications, which he founded in October 2005, landing clients Van Wagner Sports Group, HBO Sports and NBC Sports Digital.
“Adam is a consummate professional who values strong relationships, is service-oriented and has a great reputation with members of the media,” said Mike McCarley, VP of strategic marketing, promotion and communications for NBC Universal Sports & Olympics. “He brings a wealth of experience to this position and is a welcome addition to the NBC Sports team.”
Mr. Freifeld also previously was the senior publicist for ABC Sports, where his responsibilities included generating and implementing publicity campaigns for two Super Bowls, “Monday Night Football,” golf, the Little League World Series, the World Cup, the Triple Crown and the World and U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
