CW Picks Up MGM Movie Package for Sunday Nights

The CW is going retro with its new Sunday night movie package, which is loaded with titles produced before most of the cast of “Gossip Girl” was born.
Among the old-school movies slated to air on The CW in the next three months are such 1980s chestnuts as “Teen Wolf,” “Three Amigos,” “Spaceballs” and “Throw Momma From the Train.” The network is reaching back to the 1970s for “Revenge of the Pink Panther” and horror classic “Carrie.”
The most recent titles in the collection, which was acquired from MGM: “Antitrust,” a 2001 thriller starring Ryan Phillippe, and “Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course” from 2002. The latter movie airs this Sunday.
As for the rest of the CW’s Sunday movie lineup:
Dec. 7: The Cutting Edge (1992)
Dec. 14: Spaceballs (1987)
Dec. 21: Three Amigos! (1986)
Dec. 28: Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978)
Jan. 4: Trail of the Pink Panther (1982)
Jan. 11: Carrie (1976)
Jan. 18: Mr. Mom (1983)
Jan. 25: Antitrust (2001)
Feb. 1: Throw Momma From the Train (1987)
Feb. 8: Teen Wolf (1985)
