Roger Ailes, chairman and CEO of Fox News and chairman of Fox Television Stations, has signed a new five-year contract with parent company News Corp.
Mr. Ailes will continue his duties overseeing Fox News, Fox Television Stations, Fox Business Network, MyNetworkTV and Twentieth Television under his new contract. He will also serve as a senior advisor to Rupert Murdoch, chairman and CEO of New Corp., on television and news matters.
“Roger has done a remarkable job building Fox News into a force in journalism and built a great asset for News Corporation,” Mr. Murdock said in a statement. “I have complete confidence in his talent and his editorial judgment. Under his leadership, I believe that Fox Business Network will become the strongest competitor in financial television news.”
Locking down Mr. Ailes secures a top leadership position at News Corp. as the company negotiates a new contract with chief operating officer Peter Chernin. The Los Angeles Times recently reported that Mr. Chernin has had meetings with News Corp. Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch about his future at the company.

  1. Hey Roger Ailes:
Where in the world and from what muck hole did you dredge up Glenn Beck. Your other news people are true professionals.
This guy is horrible – – almost enough to force me to go to CNN.
