KickApps Lands $14 Mil in Venture Funding

The social media and online video technology firm KickApps landed a $14 million round of venture funding, the company announced today.
The financing was led by North Atlantic Capital, with existing investors Softbank, Spark Capital, Prism Ventures and Jarl Mohn reupping.
KickApps said it will use the cash for product development and expansion into new markets.
The company’s technology helps Web sites and marketers blend social media, widgets and online video on their sites. Clients include National Geographic, Endemol, the National Hockey League’s New York Rangers and others.
