AOL touted its digital content at its "newfront" Tuesday, hoping to convince television buyers to buy time on the online service, reports Advertising Age.

Two of the series are scripted, suggesting that "AOL is serious about investing in original content in hopes of winning TV ad dollars," the story notes.

All the new programs announced during the event are short-form, with each episode running five to seven minutes. One new unscripted show will feature Twitter co-founder Biz Stone as he interviews leaders such as former President Bill Clinton, the piece adds.

The scripted shows are "Fetching" and "Little Women Big Cars," with both produced by Michael Eisner’s Web studio through his Tornante Company, the story notes.

"Little Women Big Cars" stars Kristy Swanson of the original "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie, and tracks four soccer moms as they balance their schedules and families. "Fetching" is about a lawyer who quits her job to open a doggy daycare business.

The story adds: “The largely celebrity-driven programming slate includes a vehicle for Nina Garcia, the Marie Claire fashion director and ‘Project Runway’ judge, who was described in the program as ‘a secret weapon, guiding and motivating women through major life changes.’"
