Negotiations between AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers have hit a roadblock concerning the production of new media and the use of TV programs in new media, the Hollywood Reporter says. The AMPTP had proposed creating a Web site where users could download clips for a price, but the plan would require actors to give up the right to approve or deny the use of clips, the newspaper says. AFTRA’s prime-time TV contract expires June 6, the newspaper notes.
