Media researcher SNL Kagan says that multichannel video businesses will only grow at a 2.1% rate annually, Media Daily News reports. However, cable operators will get a boost in the number of households due to the digital television transition in February, but will lose market share due to increased competition from phone companies and satellite providers, the Web site says.
