May 19, 2008  •  Post A Comment

The Securities and Exchange Commission filed fraud charges against eight former AOL Time Warner executives, the Wall Street Journal reports. The SEC claims that the executives overstated the company’s online advertising revenue by more than $1 billion, the newspaper says. Four of the accused plan to contest charges, while the other four have reached a settlement in which they did not admit to or deny the charges, the newspaper notes.
