MSNBC Drops Noisy Anchors

Sep 8, 2008  •  Post A Comment

MSNBC has tapped David Gregory to anchor the news channel’s presidential debates and election night coverage, replacing Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, who critics felt were too opinionated and politcally biased while leading prime time convention coverage, the New York Times reports. Olbermann and Matthews, who clashed on-air with colleagues during the convention, will continue to serve as political analysts, the newspaper says.

  1. Smart move, the moment the anchor fails to realize that he is not the focus of the story but the conduit all is lost. Worse comes when we the listeners fail to get an objective interview.

  2. Power to the people!

  3. Thank God! It would be terrible to have two networks that were totally bias…. Now we just have to avoid FOX News and we will have a chance a the real story.

  4. great. chris matthews never listens to anyone anyway. you never get to hear the interviewee respond. maybe he’ll finally learn.
