Advertising Spend Expected to Drop in 2009

Oct 17, 2008  •  Post A Comment

The total ad spend for 2009 could drop by $11 billion says UBS Media Analyst Michael Morris. A total of $172 billion is predicted to be spent on advertising, down from $183 billion this year, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The forecast isn’t the total fault of the struggling economy, B&C says. The fact there will be no Olympics and no national election next year is partly to blame for the forecast decline in spending.
