NBC has reposted a controversial skit from this past weekend’s edition of “Saturday Night Live” after the network fixed some elements it said “didn’t meet our standards,” the Los Angeles Times reports. The skit lampooned President Bush, House Democrats and people affected by the recent mortgage meltdown. Among those parodied were Herb and Marion Sandler, a real-life couple that sold its subprime lending company to Wachovia for $24 billion. A caption that originally read “People who should be shot” disappeared before a new edited version appeared on NBC.com.
