Seth Rogen is teaming up with Showtime for a new porn-centric comedy, Daily Variety reports. Rogen, who stars in feature film “Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” is developing the comedy with his production partner Evan Goldberg. Both will serve as executive producers for the show about a trio of friends who run a pornography store, the trade says.

  1. Just what we need-more glorification of raunchy and immoral lifestyles.
I am not all that prudish, and I recognize the First Amendment allows them to make shows like this, but I have to wonder-they always cry “creative freedom/First Amendment” when people complain aboiut stuff like this.
My question is this: Yes, you have the freedom to be creative under the First Amendment. Why is this the only means you can think of to exercise said freedom when there are so many topics to write about and so many different ways to handle even erotic material that are less offensive and pornographic? That, to me, shows a LACK of creativity.

  2. How do you know the show is raunchy and pornographic, or that it isn’t creative, when it hasn’t even been made yet?

  3. puh-leaze! Phil K. is right on. Weeds is pushing the boundaries on morality, but it is a subject that is fresh, interesting and the show has proven to be brilliant. There’s nothing new about 3 guys selling porn. People are sick of Porn being shoved down our throats. Even Zach & Miri Make a Porno has changed it’s advertising angle into a romantic comedy looking movie and changed the advertised title to simply Zach & Miri due to it’s lackluster premiere. There’s more to life than sex. It feels like the same writers write the same crap, then wonder why no one is watching. I see it everyday at the network I work at.

  4. I see that there are still people who think porn is evil,It’s not. They need to take a laxitive and
get rid of both passing gas and constipated attitude towards porn.I think that giving Porn Stars a chance to cross over into main stream films.
