Sammy Gang, a Hearst Entertainment executive who spent four decades in the international TV business, died of heart failure Nov. 1 at the age of 89, the Hollywood Reporter says. Gang started selling for National Telefilm Associates in 1953. From there he worked at RKO and ITC International until forming his own company, Global Television Enterprise. From that venture he joined King Features Entertainment, which became Hearst in 1982, and stayed with the company until his retirement in 1993.
