Comcast, NFL Make Deal to Show Gophers

Dec 24, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Comcast and the NFL Network buried the hatchet for the holidays in Minnesota, where all Comcast digital subscribers will be able to see the Minnesota Gophers play Kansas in the Insight Bowl New Year’s eve, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Comcast will run a 24-hour free preview of NFL Network—usually on a sports tier—for subscribers who get the “digital starter” package. The game will also air on the Fox broadcast affiliate in Kansas City, a market served by Time Warner Cable, which does not have any agreement to carry the NFL Network.
