The FCC Media Bureau will adjudicate program-access complaints, taking the authority from an administrative law judge, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The move leaves FCC chairman Kevin Martin in a position where he may make a decision on the complaints before he exits his position next month, the trade says. Among the channels complaining to major cable operators is Wealth TV, which claims Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox and Bright House discriminated against it and Mid-Atlantic Sports in favor of the cable companies’ own programming, B&C says.
