The founders of Sling Media told their staff yesterday that they are leaving the company, which was bought by EchoStar for $380 million in cash in 2007, the Hollywood Reporter says. Also leaving are top Sling Media executives, including Jason Hirschhorn, who had been in charge of Sling Media Entertainment. The founders wanted to be in a more entrepreneurial business, according to a source familiar with the situation.
