MTV will be the focus of a written ‘oral history’ from the former editors of Blender magazine, Craig Marks and Rob Tannenbaum, reports the New York Post.
The pair will track the network’s history from its start in 1981 to its decision in 1992 to pursue reality shows instead of music programming. The book will be published before MTV’s 30th anniversary, and Tom Freston, who ran the network, has agreed to an interview, as has Duran Duran, one of the network’s early video starts.
Excellent job.
