With the Nancy Snyderman Quarantine Controversy Still Swirling, NBC News Brings Aboard a New Medical Contributor

Nov 13, 2014  •  Post A Comment

With NBC’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman still off the air following her Ebola quarantine, NBC News has brought aboard a new medical contributor, reports TVNewser.

The new contributor is Dr. Natalie Azar, who was on “Nightly News” last week and on “Today” Wednesday. Azar was brought in following Snyderman’s breach of her Ebola quarantine.

As previously reported, NBC News executives are said to be divided on whether to bring Snyderman back to the network and whether her credibility was too damaged by her decision to violate the quarantine.

Azar is a rheumatologist and clinical instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center. She has contributed to WNYW-TV, Fox’s New York station, the story notes.

  1. Outside of NYC and parts of Hollywood, no one even knows Nancy broke her quarantine. And even fewer people know who Nancy is. The TV doctor is the TV doctor; not your personal physician.

  2. She’s younger and prettier than NS.

  3. Bring back Dr. Snyderman. I miss her expertise. Enough already NBC. Bring back the Doc.
