The NBC late-night sketch institution “Saturday Night Live” is bringing aboard a new player for its upcoming 41st season. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that the show will add stand-up comedian Jon Rudnitsky as a featured player.
“Rudnitsky is a 25-year-old stand-up comic who was born in Harrington, N.J., and graduated from USC. He won the 2012 Laugh Factory’s Laugh Bowl college comedy contest and was a participant in 2015 New Faces at Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival,” THR reports.
The show has been undergoing significant lineup changes in the past few seasons, the report notes, including bringing aboard eight new players in the course of season 39 and adding three featured players in season 40.
The new season premieres Oct. 3, with Miley Cyrus set to host.
