Police Group Threatens ‘Surprise’ for Quentin Tarantino

In the latest twist in a bitter fight between police organizations nationwide and director Quentin Tarantino, the executive director on the country’s largest police union reportedly threatened that Tarantino has a “surprise” in store for him.

The AP reports that Jim Pasco of the Fraternal Order of Police made the comment in an interview Thursday with The Hollywood Reporter. The threat comes as police groups have been calling for a boycott of the director’s movies after Tarantino spoke out about police brutality during a protest in New York.

Pasco reportedly told THR that “the element of the surprise is the most important element” in whatever it is that the union has planned for Tarantino.

Pasco reportedly said the action could take place anytime between now and Christmas Day, when Tarantino’s latest film, “The Hateful Eight,” is scheduled to open. Said Pasco: “The time and place will come up and we’ll try to hurt him the only way that seems to matter to him, and that’s economically.”

  1. I say F*** the cops and their terror tactics…a bunch of overfed, trigger-happy murderers! Long live Quentin and his stylish films…!

  2. Tarantino is only adding his voice to the chorus of those protesting this growing priesthood of violence. That their leaders are baldly stating they want to hurt a law-abiding citizen is horrifying. That they feel no shame about broadcasting this intent is shocking.

The truth is, being a cop is less dangerous than being a maintenance worker and they know it. So there’s no good reason for this phony outrage.

I remember when cops were our friends. They were peace officers. They were there to calm a situation down, not inflame it to fatal proportions.

I wonder where this ends. Does dissent itself become grounds for being “disappeared”?
