A rock concert is coming together for later this year that is being called the “classic rock concert of the century.” The Los Angeles Times reports that Goldenvoice, which puts on the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, is putting together a three-night event that will feature Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, the Who, Neil Young and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters.
The event is scheduled for Oct. 7-9 at the Empire Polo Field, in Indio, Calif., the venue where the Coachella festival is held. Negotiations with the performers are reportedly being finalized.
The tentative plan is to have Dylan and the Stones play on Friday night, Oct. 7, followed by Young and McCartney on Saturday, Oct. 8, then Waters and the Who on Sunday, Oct. 9.
