“Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera [has written] an apology for his early support of Roger Ailes, when allegations of sexual harassment against the former Fox News CEO and Chairman first surfaced,” reports Politico.

The story also says that “In a lengthy Facebook post on Thursday night, Rivera apologized for responding to former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson’s sexual harassment lawsuit with ‘extreme skepticism.’”

Furthermore, Politico says Rivera wrote in his apology that “if the allegations are true,” then Ailes “is a deceitful, selfish misogynist.”

Rivera also wrote, “I apologize for my skepticism. Like victims of sexual assault, those alleging harassment deserve the presumption of credibility.”

We urge you to read Rivera’s entire apology, titled “Roger and Me” which you can find on his website if you click here.

  1. Hey Geraldo, your forgiveness was hiding in Capone’s secret vault. You just didn’t recognize it. And it has been gone for years.

  2. That’s some apology. He still said “if the allegations are true”. Guess he doesn’t believe the recorded conversations are legit.

  3. Why didn’t he just come out and say that in accusations of sexual harassment and rape, we should ignore the presumption of “innocent until proven guilty”.

    Oh, wait… he just did.

I’m sure this will go over well with the “law and order” crowd with it’s group think of guilty until proven innocent. They really go for quick trials and swift punishment. Really, I think they really like swift punishment part of it more than anything. Who cares if someone’s actually guilty.

According to feminists, and apparently Geraldo, this isn’t a problem as false rape accusations are so rare they statistically insignificant.

You know… rare… like those allegations that led to unknown numbers of black men being lynched for raping white women. Rare… like all those guilty men on death rows across the country who have exonerated by DNA. So rare that one state governor commuted all death sentences.
