A former contestant on a cable reality show is missing after failing to return home from a birthday party Saturday night. The AP reports that police detained a man for questioning today in connection with the disappearance of Lisa Marie Naegle, 36, of the San Pedro, Calif., area.

Naegle was a contestant in 2010 on the E! series “Bridalplasty,” where she was eliminated in week seven after competing for a dream wedding and plastic surgery. The report notes that she is now a registered nurse and teaches classes at West L.A. College.

The identity of the man who was being held for questioning was not released. Unconfirmed information from Naegle’s family indicated that he was an acquaintance and student of Naegle. She had reportedly gone to a birthday party with him Saturday night at Alpine Village in Torrance, Calif.

“Naegle’s husband, Derek Harryman, said that he texted her around 2 a.m. Sunday to see where she was,” the AP reports, quoting Harryman saying: “Within a minute or two, she called me. She sounded really, really drunk. She said, ‘I’m going to get some food and then I’ll be home.’ ”

Naegle never did make it home, prompting her husband and sister to file a missing person report Sunday evening.
