One of the broadcast networks’ franchise late-night talk shows has been trending higher lately, with ABC reporting that “Jimmy Kimmel Live” delivered six-week highs, both in total viewers and in the key 18-49 demo, during the week of May 22.

The Monday, May 22, show was “Kimmel’s” top single-day telecast in almost three months, the network noted.

“During the week of May 22, 2017, ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ shot up over the prior week by 21% among Adults 18-49 (588,000 vs. 485,000) to a new 6-week high while tying its strongest performance in 10 weeks — since the weeks of 4/10/17 and 3/13/17, respectively,” ABC noted. “’Kimmel’ also grew week to week by 14% in Total Viewers (2.117 million vs. 1.859 million) to draw its largest audience in 6 weeks — since the week of 4/10/17.”

The May 22 show, which featured “The Bachelorette” Rachel Lindsay, Jim Carrey and musical guest Bush, delivered 718,000 viewers 18-49, the show’s best number since Monday, March 6.

“Kimmel” continues to hold down third place behind CBS’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” which leads in total viewers, and NBC’s “Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon,” which remains firmly in the top spot in the 18-49 demo. But “Kimmel” trailed “Colbert” by just 34,000 viewers in the 18-49 metric for the week of May 22.

Here are the numbers for the week of May 22, based on Nielsen’s Live+Same Day National Ratings:

CBS’ “Colbert”: 2.960 million total viewers; 622,000 A18-49

NBC’s “Fallon”: 2.609 million total viewers; 837,000 A18-49

ABC’s “Kimmel”: 2.117 million total viewers; 588,000 A18-49
