The viewer numbers for NBC’s new prime-time Megyn Kelly program show that the broadcast has been experiencing viewer erosion.
Variety reports that the latest installment of “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” fell to a new low, both in total viewers and in the key 18-49 demo, based on overnights.
“Airing at 7 p.m., ‘Sunday Night’ averaged a 0.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen data,” Variety reports, noting that the numbers are down from a 0.5 demo rating and 3.6 million viewers a week earlier, when Kelly interviewed InfoWars founder Alex Jones.
The show got off to a strong start on June 4, when Kelly launched the program with an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Kelly” delivered 6.1 million total viewers that night, based on Nielsen live plus same day figures, along with a 1.2 average rating in the key news demo of viewers 25-54.
