Cowboy Channel Launches on DirecTV

A channel billed as the first 24-hour television network dedicated to the Western lifestyle and Western sports launched Wednesday on DirecTV. The Cowboy Channel, which launched on DirecTV Channel 603, announced on its website that it is now distributed by all major MSOs, including Dish channel 232, AT&T U-Verse channel 566, Suddenlink channel 365, Verizon FiOS channel 246, Charter Spectrum, Cox, Comcast, Mediacom and many rural cable systems.

Headquartered in the Fort Worth Stockyards, the Cowboy Channel can also be streamed as part of Sling TV’s Heartland Extra package.

The channel features content focused on rodeo, bull riding, roping, reining, barrel racing and other Western sports, along with Western fashion, music, and movies. Key programming includes “Western Sports Round-Up,” “Debbe Dunning’s Dude Ranch Round-Up,” “John Wayne Theatre: and “Rodeo Tonight.”

  2. My mom has DirecTV and Cowboy channel was suppose to be on (channel 603) nothing, doesn’t come in. Is this something else that she has to pay for?

  5. Your programming is really bad, it’s January 18 2020 at 6 pm you advertise pro rodeo but it’s some wild ride garbage. You want to be a leader in the PRCA then get the quality they have. Bad programming . Disappointed

  12. We have the Cowboy Chanel but not full screen. We’ve called Direct TV they said its the broadcaster. What do we do to get it full screen.

  13. The Cowboy Channel is not full screen. This distorts the picture, Direct TV say it’s the broadcaster ! Please fix this so the viewers, who pay more for this channel, can have a better picture !!

  14. Commentators on cowboy channel rodeos need another job because they are not rodeo announcers.
