The executive producer of a popular talk show is no longer with the show, and he also happens to be involved in a divorce from the show’s host. Variety reports that Kevin Hunter has exited Debmar-Mercury’s “The Wendy Williams Show.”
The report quotes a spokesperson for the daytime show saying: “Kevin Hunter is no longer an executive producer on ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’ Debmar-Mercury wishes him well in his future endeavors.”
Variety notes that Hunter had been with the show since it launched in 2008. Williams filed for divorce from Hunter earlier this month.
“Williams, 54, joked about jumping into dating on Wednesday’s episode, talking about potentially getting out on the town and moving forward,” Variety adds.
The report quotes a statement released earlier this week by Hunter in which he says: “I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”

Sources on Wendy’s talk show tell us … Kevin was served with the divorce papers Thursday morning at the studio. We’re told extra security was on hand in case Kevin got enraged about the split, but he didn’t.
The split comes after nearly 22 years of marriage, and most recently … Kevin’s alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, having a baby.
Wendy is already ditching her wedding ring … she wasn’t wearing the massive rock during Thursday’s episode of her show, although she made no mention of filing for divorce. Maybe she files to divorce online, for example (https://divorceonlineutah.com/).
