Fox News Drops Contributor

Oct 9, 2019  •  Post A Comment

Fox News Channel pulled the plug on its relationship with a former U.S. congressman who has been working as a contributor for the channel. Deadline reports that FNC dropped former Rep. Trey Gowdy, a Republican from South Carolina, following reports that he is joining Donald Trump’s legal team as outside counsel for the impeachment inquiry.

Deadline quotes a Fox News spokesperson saying Gowdy “has been terminated and is no longer a contributor.”

“Gowdy joined Fox News in January, after leaving Congress after four terms,” Deadline reports. “He was already well known to viewers as the chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, tasked with investigating what happened during the attack on an American consulate in Libya in 2012. The highest-profile moment came in 2015, when Hillary Clinton, who was Secretary of State at the time of the attack, testified for 11 hours before the committee.”

  1. I really thought I wouldn’t have to watch this egotistical weasel ever again.

    • No, unfortunately Hillary Clinton appears on TV regularly.

      • That would be funny, Bill, if it was at all true.
