Fox’s reality juggernaut “American Idol” will welcome a fourth judge for the show’s upcoming eighth season, TelevisionWeek reports. Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi joins Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson on the judging panel in January, the trade says.
