If "The Jay Leno Show" averages a 1.5 rating for the year, the show could make $300 million a year for NBC, reports The Hollywood Reporter. John Ferriter, head of unscripted programming for talent agency WME, gave that assessment on Tuesday at the Beverly Hills Hotel while speaking on a panel for the Producers Caucus.

Wow, that’s great for NBC, but do you think their affiliates will be thrilled with a 1.5 rating leading into their late news every night?
mikeC: Good point. But have local 11pm news broadcasts been depending on lead In for ratings all these years? i dont think so. I think 11pm newscasts just count on ppl who want the last news of the night to watch.
