CBS News Employee Fired Over Leaked ABC News Video

An employee of CBS News was fired as part of the fallout from a leaked ABC News video on which reporter Amy Robach expressed frustration with her bosses’ handling of a story involving a Jeffrey Epstein accuser, the AP reports.

As we reported this week, Project Veritas released the video, which reportedly is from August. In it ABC’s Robach says “every day I get more and more pissed” that her 2015 interview with Virginia Giuffre did not run.

The AP reports that the CBS News employee, who had recently left a position at ABC, may have been involved in the leak of the Robach video.

“A network executive, speaking Thursday on condition of anonymity because it was a personnel issue, said the woman is no longer employed at CBS News,” the AP reports. “The network declined comment.”

The AP report adds: “A person at ABC familiar with the matter who also spoke on condition of anonymity for the same reason said ABC News informed CBS that the woman had access to the tape. It’s not clear if the woman leaked the tape to the conservative website Project Veritas or to someone else who may have done so. Project Veritas has not identified its source.”

The controversy over the leaked tape has shined a spotlight on whether ABC was reluctant to run a story about sexual misconduct.

  1. Wait…WHAT ??? I thought “Whistle Blowers” were sacrosanct ! I thought…wait. Never mind. I forgot about the “media double standard.” Silly Me…

    • You’re right dude. Liberal media once again circling the wagons to cover up bad behavior. Time for folks to move on to more reliable networks and websites.
